MACLEAN Sue Funeral Director It is with sadness that I announce as of 22nd November I have taken early retirement due to health and family reasons. I am no longer the owner of Ashby Funeral Care. I have had the privilege and honour of taking loved ones on their final journey, both on Merseyside and here in Scunthorpe for over 21 years. This has been a very difficult decision for me, but one I have had to make. I would like to thank the following people: our amazing clergy, nurses, doctors, nursing home staff, Michael Connell, John Hoult, Humberside Police, Coroner Paul Kelly and his amazing team based at Cleethorpes, Andy, Debra and their team at Woodlands Crematorium, together with a fantastic team of ground staff, CPS Memorials Hull, Scunthorpe Telegraph, my colleagues from Naylors Funeral Directors, Scunthorpe, Steve Machin, my amazing Sons Mark, Ryan and their partners Laura and Paula, Phil Dixon, Ryan Craig, last but not least very special friend Mark Dallas, who have been there for me through good times and not so good times. Child of the year will continue to be held yearly with the fabulous Kirsty Wright, working alongside of me. Our angels and heroes will also continue with updates to follow.
